Your lawyer should know the courtroom

A defense built on preparation—not promises.

Criminal accusations move fast. You deserve an attorney who understands how prosecutors build cases, knows the local courts, and will give you a candid assessment of your options.

Meet Phil

Both sides of the courtroom. One purpose: your defense.

Phil Morin began his career as a prosecutor in the Brazoria County District Attorney’s Office. Since entering private practice, he has spent more than sixteen years defending people accused of crimes across Southeast Texas.

That perspective matters. Phil knows how the State evaluates evidence, prepares witnesses, and approaches negotiations. He uses that insight to identify weaknesses, explain the real risks, and prepare every case with the care it deserves.

Should I speak with the police?

Speak with a defense lawyer before deciding whether to give a statement. An explanation intended to help can still be used in the investigation.

What should I bring to an initial consultation?

Bring bond paperwork, charging documents, court notices, relevant messages or photographs, and any video or records that may help explain what happened.

Can an arrest be removed from my record?

Possibilities such as expunction or nondisclosure depend on the charge, outcome, and criminal history. Eligibility should be evaluated after reviewing the complete record.

How much does a criminal-defense lawyer cost?

Fees depend on the charge, complexity, procedural stage, and anticipated work. A direct conversation allows Phil to understand the matter before discussing representation.
