A man in Texas has been charged with manslaughter after a car accident that killed the three passengers in his vehicle. Before the crash, one of the passengers had been filming the drive for a Facebook live video. The man can be seen drinking from a bottle of beer and passing it to his passengers. He also claims in the video that beer makes him drive better.
Minutes after the video was posted on Facebook, the man crashed his vehicle into a pick-up truck. The three passengers in his vehicle were killed, while the man driving the truck was ejected out of the vehicle. The man is currently receiving medical treatment. If he doesn’t survive his injuries, the driver might receive another manslaughter charge.
The driver of the vehicle survived with minor injuries and is currently receiving treatment in the hospital. He has received multiple charges for serious felonies, including intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault. If convicted, he could face up to eighty years in prison.
One of the authorities involved with the case says that the video offers a glimpse of what was going on in the vehicle before the accident happened. One of the victims has been identified as the man’s girlfriend.
